CHIA naturally regulates type 2 diabetes, as it regulates sugar, levelling insulin in our body. If the gelatinous coating comes into contact with liquids, it prevents the increase of glucose. It combats the symptoms of osteoporosis. It contains phosphorus and is used by our body to synthesise proteins for growth, to repair cells and tissues, to maintain healthy bones and teeth and to improve our intellectual and memory performance. It provides twice as much protein as any vegetable. Chia contains "tryptophan", which helps regulate appetite, sleep and improve mood. Because it contains "OMEGA 3", it helps to level blood pressure and increase LDH (Good Cholesterol) levels while minimising LDL (Bad Cholesterol), which has the effect of lowering "triglycerides".
